About this policy
This Cookie policy explains how Mallexp uses cookies and similar technologies when you use mall-exp.com and related pages, such as your private quotation pages (together, the “Site”). In this policy, “cookies” covers cookies and similar technologies such as browser local storage.
For how we handle personal information in general, see our Privacy policy. We may update this policy, for example when the cookies we use change; the “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Questions: [email protected].
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small data file, often with a unique identifier, that a website sends to your browser and that is stored on your device. It lets the website recognise your browser and remember certain information.
Session cookies stay on your device until you stop browsing; persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them. First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting — Mallexp’s own cookies are first-party. Third-party cookies are set by another provider through our Site, for example by our payment processors.
Similar technologies
Besides cookies, the Site may use browser local storage — for example to remember the products in your cart and your chosen shipping method between visits — and session storage, for example to remember for the rest of your visit which country your connection comes from, so we know whether to ask for your cookie consent. You can clear both at any time in your browser settings.
Pixels. With your consent where required (see Your choices), the Site loads the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms) and the TikTok Pixel (TikTok). These small scripts measure whether our ads on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok lead to visits and to actions on the Site — viewing a product, searching, adding to the cart, starting checkout, adding payment details, sending an inquiry, creating an account and completing a purchase. While the pixels are active, our server also sends the same events directly to Meta and TikTok so that each one is counted once; signed-in customers’ and orders’ identifiers (such as the email address) are sent only in hashed form. If you arrived through an ad link, the click ID from the link (fbclid or ttclid) is stored in a first-party cookie, also only after consent. Without consent the pixels are not loaded and no events are sent.
How we use cookies
- Security and fraud prevention — our hosting and security provider Cloudflare uses cookies to protect the Site from bots and abuse.
- Cart and checkout — to keep your cart, shipping choice and checkout session working.
- Payments — Stripe and PayPal set their own cookies when their payment fields or buttons load, to process payments and prevent fraud.
- Advertising measurement — only with your consent where required: the Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel measure the results of our ads (see Pixels above).
- Analytics — we do not currently use analytics tools.

Essential cookies are required for the Site to work — for example for your cart, checkout, sign-in and security. Disabling them may make parts of the Site unavailable. They are not used for marketing.
Preference cookies remember choices you make, such as your language and currency, so you do not have to repeat them. You can disable them, but some features may then work less well.
Advertising cookies are only set after you accept them where consent is required (see below). Declining does not affect shopping, checkout or your account.
Our service providers’ cookies. Cloudflare (hosting, security and bot protection), Stripe (card payments) and PayPal (PayPal payments) may set their own cookies when you use their services. Their names and durations are decided by these providers; see the Cloudflare cookie policy, the Stripe privacy policy and the PayPal privacy statement.
Your choices
Browser controls. You can set your browser to accept or refuse cookies and to delete stored cookies and local storage. If you refuse cookies you can still browse, but the cart, checkout and payment may not work. Use the “Help”, “Settings” or “Privacy” menu of your browser, for example Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari (desktop and mobile) or the Android browser.
Cookie preferences. Visitors from countries where consent is required — by default the countries of the EU and EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland (the list is kept in our store settings) — see a cookie bar at the bottom of the page on their first visit, and no advertising pixel is loaded until they choose “Accept”. If we cannot tell which country your connection comes from, we ask as well. In other countries the advertising pixels are active by default. Everyone can change their choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page: “Decline” stops the pixels (the page reloads so that nothing stays loaded), “Accept” turns them on. Your choice is stored in the mx_consent cookie for one year.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as declining the ad pixels unless you choose Accept in Cookie settings. There is no agreed standard for Do Not Track, so we use Cookie settings and GPC instead.
Advertising opt-outs. Use “Cookie settings” to decline the Meta and TikTok pixels on this Site. Meta and TikTok also offer ad settings in your accounts with them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example because of changes in the cookies we use, in our business, or in the law. We will post changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Where a change has a significant impact on you, we will show a clear notice on the Site.
